Paris, France

10.12.2011
Paris was our favorite location on our trip, minus the fact that we didn't have our bags half the time. Rome was charming and Capri was breathtaking. Paris had a vibe that felt like home. It was a perfect city. Uniform. Clean. Flowers galore. Posh. Expensive. Friendly. And extremely yummy. Here's probably 5% of all our pictures from Paris. You can also view my sneak peak of Paris and our vacation video.

I can't wait to get back and share our trip. It has been a-mazin'. I can't wait to wait to sleep and am dreaming of a foot massage BUT seriously, the best trip ever! Start to finish, it was everything and more than we wanted. Here's a little sneak peek from Paris.

the REAL countdown starts NOW

9.22.2011

Because when I say I've been counting down. I mean it. Tick tock. I'm almost to the point of ' let's get this trip over with ' just for the sake of not having to wait anymore. I do have a few more things to occupy my time before we go.

As I've been planning, I've browsed through blogs, forums, travel books... to make the most of each day spent in France and Italy. I love planning in Ted's words ' it's my crack '.

It all boils down to enjoying the moment and being with Ted. Sipping coffee and eating yummy food. Bike rides and picnics. Getting lost !? and museum browsing. Window shopping and late nights.

Speaking of journals, I'd love one like hers.
It's so easy to have a love affair with Napoli and traveling Italy.
All of Jordan's of Oh Happy Day's post on Paris are dreamy.

'Midnight in Paris'

Like I mentioned yesterday, we went out and watched Midnight in Paris last night. I was intrigued by obvious reasons... set in Paris, the 20's, and Rachel McAdams. Ted was skeptical thinking I was dragging him to yet another chick flick (which he secretly loves). Ends up he liked the movie just as much as me. What I loved most was the dresses, 20's flair, and all the literature. Walking around at midnight in Paris seems like a dream as well. What we love about where we live is there is a handful of independent movie theaters 'The Ritz' scattered all within walking distance from our loft as well as 2 other theaters  'The Roxy & The Rave' which is only a few stops on the subway that plays current big name movies.
