San Juan, Puerto Rico

9.24.2014
Last week, Ted decided to book us a little trip to San Juan. We hopped a 17 minute flight over to Puerto Rico and spent our days stretching our legs on a larger island. We shopped. They have Zara and West Elm, two of my favorites. We strolled the colorful streets of old San Juan, ate delicious Puerto Rican food, and toured museums. It made for a perfect short trip.

p.s. The sorry latte was sent to us because we were sent the wrong order.

Snorkeling & Waterfalls

3.27.2011
Our waterproof camera finally has been developed.
A few snaps from a waterfall we came across on a hike in the rainforest of Puerto Rico.
We also crossed the island to the Caribbean waters and went snorkeling.

Minibook Process

2.20.2011
I'm currently working on a minibook to capture our trip to Puerto Rico. I thought, I'd start with this post by sharing some of my photos I selected for this mini along with some paper choices. It's my first go at this minibooking process. Look over here to see my inspiration for mini books. In the fall, I took Elise's BIG mini class and I loved it. She shares a wealth of knowledge. I've never been one to like scrap booking. Too messy, too much on a page. But, I quickly fell in love with the 'minibook' concept. I'm now a few steps ahead and on to finishing (will post the end result). Here is part of the starting process via blurry pictures.

Back to Reality

1.23.2011

We are home. Puerto Rico was a dream. Perfect weather all week long. It went by fast but we enjoyed every second of our winter-cation. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things blog wise.

Looking forward to hosting my very first GIVEAWAY. So, stay tuned.

Aside from adjusting back to the cold...which happens to be 15 degrees colder than when we left...there are laundry piles to tend to, refrigerator is empty, test to study for, and floors to be moped. Thankfully, I don't return to work till Wednesday.
